First, the most important way to succeed with the 30 day water challenge for weight loss is to make a water drinking plan.
1. Create a 30 Day Water Diet Drinking Plan
Not drinking much water at the start will mean that this challenge is that much harder for you and you’ll need to work twice as hard to achieve success.
You will need to find ways to consciously add water to your routine so that you are able to reach 1 gallon.
It might be that you drink a glass of water first thing in the morning when you wake up or drink an extra glass of water after you brush your teeth.
However you do it, you need to plan ahead or else it just won’t happen. The key to success is to create a water drinking plan that fits into your existing lifestyle and routine.
This means that you don’t have to rely on will power to keep you on track. You can even be creative and make the week day plan different from the weekend depending on what is in your diary.
The good news is that once you establish the water drinking habit then it will become normal for you. Doing this means your body will naturally start to crave more water and you’ll no longer have to “force” yourself to do it.

2. Swap All Beverages That You Normally Drink With Water.
The rules of the challenge state that you should not drink any sweetened tea or coffee at all. This technically means that you can drink them if they are sugar free but since the objective behind this is weight-loss, it’s best to stick to water.
That’s not all.
Apart from weight-loss, only drinking water will take you one step closer to a healthier lifestyle.
If this is too difficult then you can take the “less bad option.” In this option, you drink all the beverages you like and have them count towards your daily water allowance.
However, whatever you do, do not take the sweetened version and do not drink alcohol.

Although soda is not allowed, you can drink unsweetened sparkling water. Sparkling water is OK so long as you don’t add any kind of sweetener to it.
How can you actually do this?
Perhaps try adding a slice of fruit to make it interesting? You could try a slice of lemon, orange, some mint leaf or even a slice of ginger? This is all permissible so long as you don’t drink any kind of soda beverage.
3. Remember That Alcohol Does Not Count as Water
The other side of this is of course how to remove all alcohol from your diet.
This is very difficult to achieve if you are planning to just wing it.
It is best to have thought about this before hand.
Make a plan of action.
If you don’t, your friends could persuade you to have a drink. The environment might be too tempting.
4. Remember that Tea / Coffee / Food Does Not Count As Water
The short answer is no. The objective of the challenge is to get 1 gallon of additional water into your diet. The long answer is that many fruits and vegetables contain water (some as much as 80%) and of course this also applies to tea and coffee.
But there’s a catch.
Especially in the case of fruits and vegetables because lots of healthy foods are over 80% – 90% water.
Also, trying to be clever in this way defeats the purpose of going on this diet in the first place. The idea is to get more water into your diet.
Specifically, plain old boring water as it has been shown to have so many weight-loss benefits.Hence why the emphasis is on water otherwise the diet would have been about simply getting more liquid or hydration.

Well, study after study shows that adding more water to your diet helps you to lose weight.
This works especially well because water acts as a hunger suppressor, which means that you will end up eating less.
Water is also very good at preventing your body from storing fat.
It helps your system release toxins and helps to keep your organs hydrated. This means they work more efficiently.
Even if by some bizarre reason you don’t end up loosing any weight, the 30 day water challenge will make you healthier.
