Store Brand Bottle Water 3/10
One of the worst bottled water can be store brand bottle water.
Yes, it is clean, simple and generally the most affordable option. But don’t let names like “Pure Life” fool you. These so-called “purified waters” are often full of pollutants like micropastics and do not add any minerals or vitamins like some of the branded bottled water.
Also, it is pretty hard to find out how they are filtered as they don’t have dedicated websites like the major bottled water brands.
Propel – Score: 3/10
As for Propel, people have found that it smells slightly salty and metallic. Putting it on your tongue has a strange effect. Also, some people have stated that the texture is very similar to Gatorade without the flavor, which is weird.
Iceberg – score: 5/10
Ice Mountain does pretty well if you are looking for nothing but water. It is unflavoured water that is completely neutral in almost every way, which is absolutely OK. However, some people have commented that it has a slight “mineral” aftertaste.
Dasani – Score: 5/10
Dasani is frequently mentioned among the worst water brand ranked by consumers and experts. Some people say Dasani can smell a bit off, a little bit like wine, which is mixed with sulfates.
Aquafina – Score: 5.4/10
When pH balance tested, Aquafina comes up acid. This means that it’s fine to drink but perhaps not as good as alkaline water. Some people have said this water tastes like it has dissolved minerals and a little salt. Still, a better option is drinking water that is mineral rich like natural spring water. However, Aquafina is a good thirst quencher and generally safe to drink.
Naleczowianka – Score: 5.9/10
Naleczowianka is another bottled water that has a “distinctive” smell. It is slightly salty but quenches thirst.
Best Bottled Water to Drink?
I have written about the best bottled water here. 
In short, I consider the best bottled water brands to be Mountain Valley Spring Water, Voss, Evian, and Fiji.
Many of these brands, as well as other popular options like Core Hydration, promise added electrolytes and minerals, while others rely on unique packaging like boxed water.
Even if they truly offer balanced pH and are 100% mountain spring sourced, the bottom line is that no bottled water is good for you or the environment.
Get a counter top water filter instead as it is more convenient, safer and will help you save money in the long run.
