What Is The History of Water Ionizers?
The interest in water ionizers originated from the mysteries surrounding how natives live in difficult environments. Particularly how people from secluded, harsh parts of the world seem to enjoy longevity and incredibly good health. All this despite the difficult living conditions they find themselves in.

What Is Ionized Water?
Ionized water is water produced by a water ionizer.
This is a machine that uses electrolysis to change the pH level of whatever water you put into it. Water that is over the pH of 7 is called alkaline water.
Ionized water is not naturally alkaline water but it’s the next best thing.

It filters out any harmful contaminants and purifiers your water first. It does this because there is no point in the machine giving you alkaline water if it’s dirty and full of contaminants.
Also, regular tap water (although generally reasonably safe to drink) has a gunky horrible taste. This bad taste will not disappear by simply changing the pH level of the water.
Meanwhile fresh tasting purified water tastes even more amazing once it becomes alkaline.

Second Stage: Changes The pH Of The Purified Water Through Electrolysis

This will put your water into an acid or alkaline stream – depending on what pH level you originally selected.

Does An Alkaline Water Purifier Machine Really Work?
The short answer is yes.
Alkaline water purifiers are both effective and safe to use. Just make sure you get your device from a reputable brand. Off-brand cheaper ionizers might not be as effective at best or downright dangerous at worse.
This is especially the case if you buy a machine that doesn’t have any awards or recognisable accreditations from reliable third party institutions.

Are Water Ionizer Filters Any Good?
Yes they are but the quality varies from one machine to another.
As with everything, not all ionizer machines are equal and some of them have rubbish filters.

Uses For The Low And High pH Water
The best pH level for drinking water is between 7 – 10 pH.
To get the best tasting water you should set your alkaline water purifier machine to give you a pH that is between 7-10. Of course, this all depends on your personal taste.
As a benchmark, regular tap water typically comes out at a neutral pH of 7.
However, most people get a water ionizer to enjoy the smooth taste of alkaline water that’s almost sweet, slightly crunchy and totally delicious. Many find that a pH of anywhere up to 10 is great.
Water at the lower pH acidic levels can also be very useful.
Most people don’t expect to even need water that’s slightly acidic but you would be surprised how many uses there are for this.

One of the reasons why water ionizer machines come with a lower pH is because slightly acidic water is just as useful as the high pH alkaline settings.
Water at lower pH levels are good for a number of things like:

Q: What Is The Best Water Ionizer Machine?

In my opinion Tyent’s new ACE-13 model is currently the best water ionizer because it has the highest specification of any ionizer available.
It has the highest number and quality of plates, best negative ORP value, widest range of pH and the most advanced safety features.
It also has the best quality filters that remove 99% of contaminants including lead.
The only issue that someone might have with this device is that it’s a countertop machine. Hence it will sit on the countertop next to your kitchen sink so that it can access water direct from the faucet.
However, not everyone likes this solution or has the space to spare. If this is the case you should consider the UCE-13 PLUS which is basically the under counter version of this device. It has all the same features, spec and range but takes none of your countertop space.
